The DC Hybrid solution incorporates the  “Pure DC or AC/DC” cost saving power solutions, however it uses the right consistency of renewable power available depending on the power application, geographical location and natural renewable resources available such as solar, wind, water or any combination.

• SunFire LED Street Light & SunBurst Building/Area Floodlighting (Solar or AC powered)

The Photovoltaic lighting systems are uniquely designed, enabling the customer a range of turn-key solutions from a simple street or municipal building security light to the ambitious  high wattage AC mains powered street light all using the LEDs, PV solar panels or AC mains.

The SunFire streetlight has been designed as a replacement for all HPS, SON, Halogen and compact florescent lights, the SunFire and SunBurst range will save between 45 - 60% + on present costs and power consumption. 

The newly designed and developed high Lumen output LED Streetlight / Floodlight was designed specifically to suit a number of applications enabling the customer a range of solutions such as;

• Mobile Communications Units - MCU (Vehicles and Trailer systems)

The Mobile Communications Unit (MCU) is a totally self contained communications node mounted on a ruggedised trailer. The aim of the product in this form is to enable an operator to establish cellular coverage in an area in the minimum amount of time.

The MCU is ideal for housing GSM, GPRS, CDMA, 3G, TETRA, WiFi / WiMAX, military communications or surveillance equipment,. Commercially the unit can provide additional capacity and coverage at high profile events such as:

Music Concerts
Major sporting events (Olympic Games, World cup, Grand Prix)
Shows
Festivals
Conferences
Rallies or meetings
Disaster recovery
Permanent sites
Homeland security

Typically, the MCU provides the ideal solution for enhancing the capacity of existing infrastructure; infrastructure which is not designed to handle the sporadic peaks of demand placed on it by the events listed above.

• Rapid Deployment Communications Shelters (including various outdoor shelters and combined tower systems)

The overall objective is to provide the operator with an extremely quick deployable Telecom mobile network to communities and regions where such technology or facilities have not been experienced to date.  The aim is to complete this whist minimizing the operators CapEX and OpEX costs by utilizing a feasible combination of a DC Cost saving power system and the use of Solar and Wind where possible.  The following objective have been met with this RD Shelter:

• Provide a low cost, effective, reliable DC Hybrid power system.
• A low noise pollutant power system.
• The system must be reliable and capable of handling dynamic loads.
• Provided seamless prime or backup power.
• Minimize the amount of refuelling and annual servicing.
• Reduce the overall site size.
• Provide a system on site, deployed and operational within 2 weeks of obtaining permission by the operator.
• Increase the security of the equipment and the fuel.
• Maximise the reduction of green house emissions.
• Reduce CapEX and OpEX.

• Low Power Passive Site Cooling Systems

CobraComms understands that it is critical to keep electrical and batteries within a temperature controlled environment in hot and humid places.   Current AC air conditioning currently uses high power consumption.    To combat this CobraComms are continuing to test and trial new methods of being able to reduce power consumptions and where possible air conditioning coolants.

The aim is to provide a variety of low cost cooling systems providing maximum cooling for minimum energy usage, these passive cooling systems will be incorporated into the into the CobraComms Rapid deployment shelters.  The Geo-cooling system is being beta-tested at present that would be able to provide cooling at a fraction of the AC air conditioning power consumption.

• Solar LED indoor lighting

The commercial indoor lighting enables us to use renewable energies such as solar, wind or water to their best abilities and combined with low power consumption lighting such as LED provide a cost effective system for lighting the house or premises from a renewable power source, this reduces your typical power bill whilst helping to reduce green house gasses and adding your bit to save the planet.
